Who we are

Prefix Pact is made and run by Raisen LLC (“we”). You can reach us at hello@prefixpact.com. By playing the game you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not play.

Free to play

Prefix Pact is free. Ads help pay for it: they may be shown on our own site, and on the partner sites that carry the game, where that site runs them under its own terms and privacy policy. The Privacy page says which ads run here and what you can choose. There is no account to make and nothing to pay.

Play fair

Play the game as it is meant to be played, and leave it working for everyone else. Please do not:

• use bots, scripts or other automation against our game server or the leaderboard, or send them far more requests than normal play does;
• send made-up results, or try any other way to cheat the leaderboard;
• type abuse, hate, threats or anything unlawful into a clue or a word;
• try to break, overload or get around the game's limits and word filters;
• copy, sell or host the game somewhere else.

We may block requests, and remove results, that break these rules.

Your clues and names

Your clues are sent to our game server so the Keeper and Teapot can answer them; the Privacy page says what happens to them. Please keep personal details out of them.

On the online leaderboard, and in private rooms, you appear under a made-up name such as Clever Otter 7, which the game picks for you from fixed word lists. Other players see that name with your points and time. We may remove a name or a result that is offensive or breaks these terms.

Words, fonts and voices

The word lists, the fonts and the tutorial's voices are other people's work, used under their licences and credited on the Privacy page.

No guarantees

We make the game with care, but it is offered as it is. We do not promise that it will always be available, that it is free of mistakes, or that every word, clue or answer in it is right. We may change, pause or end the game, its puzzles or the leaderboard at any time.

Our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss that comes from playing the game or from not being able to play it. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law that cannot be taken away.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page, and the new terms apply whenever you play from then on.
